IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING DOWNLOAD ITEMS: Be
sure to add catalog@ariel.org to your "friends list" BEFORE placing your order! An automatically generated email containing your download links will be
sent within a few minutes after checkout. Please enable your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, PowerMail, etc.) or web based email service (Yahoo!, AOL, Google, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.)
to accept from catalog@ariel.org so you can receive your download links. This is especially important if you use a web based email service, as these services are
particularly aggressive in flagging automatically generated emails as "spam" or "junk" - when often they are legitimate. Thank You. |
| MAC INSTRUCTIONS: -DLD1.exe items contain
ALL the MP3 files (tracks) for any given study, zipped together in a single downloadable file. MAC users will need the FREE StuffIt Expander software to unzip
your downloaded -DLD1.exe items. Download from: Smith Micro Software 1. Download Stuffit Expander to your desktop. Double-click and follow the instructions (it will install to your applications folder). 2. Go to applications in your finder window, and locate the StuffIt Expander folder. Click on the StuffIt Expander application icon inside the folder. 3. An 'expander' icon should now appear on your desktop. Drag a -DLD1.exe file onto it. 4. A new folder will appear on your desktop showing the MP3 (.mp3) files inside it. 5. Click on that folder, and then click on the MP3 file you want to play - away you go! |
| iTUNES TIP: When you click on one of the MP3
files, iTunes will open up and play it (provided iTunes is your default music player). If you want iTunes to copy the file into iTunes (and not just play it), set your preferences as follows: 1. Open iTunes and under 'iTunes' in the menu, go to 'preferences', then 'advanced'. 2. Make sure iTtunes is set to 'copy files to ITunes music folder when adding to library'. 3. iTunes should now copy each file as you click them one after the other. They will all appear in iTunes, automatically grouped together into an album, showing all the embedded information from the MP3 file, like: track name, artist information, etc. 4. You're done - enjoy! NOTE: Make sure the MP3 files have in fact copied to iTunes before deleting the -DLD1.exe file from your desktop. Look in your personal music folder (found under your own username if there is more than one user set up on your mac). Open a finder window, click on your username, click on the music folder, click on iTunes, click on iTunes Music... and you should then see all the albums listed that are saved inside iTunes. |
